In Their Own Words

Born from a shared love for the neon-soaked sounds of the 80s, Synth Revival is more than just a musical project—it's a testament to the enduring power of melody and memory. Seth and Stacey Stephenson blend vintage analog warmth with modern sonic precision, crafting an immersive experience that resonates across generations. Together, they invite you to rediscover the heartbeat of an era defined by its maximalism and soul.

Seth

From the cornfields of Indiana to the world’s biggest stages, Seth Stephenson has lived the highs and lows of the sounds that defined an era. Originally the frontman of Synth Revolution, Seth’s journey into music was solidified by a twist of fate: a baseball injury that briefly sidelined his piano playing, forcing him to realize that music wasn't just a hobby—it was his lifeblood.

By twenty, Seth was a global phenomenon and an unlikely international icon. Yet, the glare of the spotlight never suited him as much as the hum of a synthesizer. It wasn't until a chance encounter at an Atlanta concert that he found his true north. In the front row stood Stacy, the woman who would change the course of his life and career.

Their road wasn't easy. The pressures of a world tour and the strain of distance led to a difficult split, prompting Seth to do the unthinkable: he stepped away from the height of his fame to win back the woman he loved. Choosing relationship over reputation, Seth transitioned into the shadows of the industry, writing and producing for others while building a quiet, devoted life with Stacy.

The Revival

The world may have moved on, but Seth’s soul remained rooted in the 80s spirit. As the "Maximal Nostalgia" movement took hold, Stacy encouraged him to return to the studio. The result was the viral hit "1988," a track that captured the collective longing for a neon-soaked past.

Now signed to YesterHear Records, Seth has returned to the stage—but this time, he isn't alone. As Synth Revival, Seth and Stacy perform together, turning their shared history into a sonic tribute to the 80s. For Seth, the music finally makes sense: it’s no longer about the fame, but about the girl from the front row and the decade that started it all.

Stacey

Stacy Stephenson’s journey into the spotlight began not with a dream of fame, but with a front-row seat. A college senior just looking for a night out with friends, Stacy found herself the unexpected muse of international star Seth Stephenson during a Synth Revival concert. Despite her initial reluctance and skepticism of the "rockstar lifestyle," she discovered a "perfect gentleman" behind the stage lights.

Their romance was a whirlwind that challenged the boundaries of trust and distance. Faced with the relentless pressure of tabloids and the strain of a world tour, Stacy made the difficult choice to walk away to protect her peace. It was a move that ultimately defined their future: Seth chose Stacy over the band, proving that their connection was more powerful than any platinum record.

The Gen X North Star

While Seth brings the sonic architecture of the 80s, Stacy brings the cultural soul of Generation X. As a proud latchkey-generation native, she is the driving force behind the band’s raw, nostalgic identity. Though she jokingly reminds Seth that he’s "a bit too seasoned" to claim the Gen X title himself, their chemistry is the engine behind Synth Revival.

After years of prioritizing family and raising their children, Stacy recognized that Seth’s musical passion needed a new spark. Her encouragement led to the viral success of "1988," but she didn't stay on the sidelines this time. Stepping into her own as a vocalist and songwriter, Stacy’s debut single "We Are Gen X" has become an anthem for a generation that refuses to be forgotten.

For Stacy, this new chapter isn't about reclaiming the fame they once fled—it’s about the joy of creating memories with her husband and honoring the grit, humor, and neon-soaked history of the generation she calls home.
